Dreamland is the first bedding company in Malaysia and has made many technological innovations in its mattresses ahead of other competitors.

They were looking for continuous exciting promotion campaigns to reach their end customers. This was a challenge as costs of standard premiums were high and required them to commit very large quantities to get a good price and in the end when the sales are done they were not even able to get basic customer data from their dealers. So they turned to Business Boosters.

The client used the holiday voucher redemption campaign in mid 2011 instead of the previous petrol vouchers that they giving to customers. As a brand conscious company, they strategized and used advertising cleverly by doing an advertorial followed by concurrent advertisements in few newspapers about the campaign. They also inserted leaflets on the campaign in each of their mattresses to create customer awareness.

The Result

The campaign created such a buzz with holiday vouchers worth RM1,100 that were given for a purchase of mattress that cost about RM1700. The perceived value was much higher than the petrol vouchers that used to be given before. Even better, the entire campaign cost them a fraction of what they spent on petrol vouchers. They received very good reviews from their customers and stood out from competitors with the aggressive campaign with many advertisements and coverage they received from media. They even managed to collect customer data, which were necessary for redemption of vouchers and the information is invaluable for future marketing campaigns.
